城市天际线中的保利中心及不远处的佛山世纪莲体育场 © CreatAR Images

由gmp·冯·格康，玛格及合伙人建筑师事务所设计的佛山保利中心已落成并投入使用，这是继佛山世纪莲体育中心之后gmp在佛山建成的第二个项目。项目位于东平新城中心区域，比邻中央商务区，位于地铁三号线、六号线交汇点以及文化南路和裕和路路口，占据了新城的显要位置。建成后的佛山保利中心重新定义了城市天际线，并将成为佛山保利新城发展项目的地标。

Foshan Poly Center, designed by gmp Architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners, was recently completed and put into use. This is the second project completed by gmp in Foshan after Foshan Century Lotus Sports Center. The project is located in the center of Dongping New City, neighbouring the CBD plot, at the junction of Metro Line 3 and Line 6, meanwhile at the intersection of Wenhua South Road and Yuhe Road, which occupies a most prominent site within the new district in Foshan. The completed Foshan Poly Center will clearly determine the silhouette of the city and serve as the landmark of the Foshan Poly New Town Development Project.

高度分别为250米与100米的两座塔楼在底层以L型裙房相连，分别容纳了办公与酒店两个功能分区。两座塔楼的空间定位以及裙房建筑共同围合成一个面向十字路口的广场。正方形的广场有一定的抬高，塑造了一个带有高度展示性的城市公共空间，并为两座塔楼提供了舒适的下客区。
The two towers with a height of 250 meters and 100 meters are connected by an L-shaped podium on the ground floor, which houses two functional zones of office and hotel respectively. The spatial positioning of the two towers and the podium creates a plaza which opens up to the intersection. The square plaza is raised up to define a highly representative space which provides a pleasant urban public space as well as sufficient drop off zones for both towers.

建筑整体设计创意来源于中国传统习俗中的天灯。天灯象征着和谐、平安和幸福，寄托着对丰收与成功的心愿。248米高的办公塔楼顶部两层为天景厅，其室内造型和照明设计使人联想到飞翔的天灯，通透的玻璃幕墙令周围的佛山城市景观一览无余。
The overall design concept comes from the traditional Chinese custom of flying the sky lanterns, which symbolize harmony, peace and happiness, wishes harvest and success. The top two floors of the 248m high towers are sky lounge, its interior design and lighting design are reminiscent of flying sky lanterns, and the transparent glass curtain wall provides a panoramic view of the city Foshan.

三角形幕墙单元由浅色天然石材和镂空金属板组成，肌理来自于传统中式花窗的通风开启扇实现了办公楼和酒店房间独立的自然通风。广场层上采用了当地特有的建筑材料和植被，如地砖和翠竹等，通过当代的表现手段来创造一座现代同时又具传统氛围的中国式花园。
The triangular facade-elements are composed of bright natural stone and perforated metal sheets, the texture of the ventilation openings is derived from traditional Chinese wood window, which can ensure the individual natural ventilation of the office and hotel rooms. Local materials and plants like the typical brick stones and bamboo are arranged in a contemporary way to develop a modern but in the same way traditional Chinese garden on the plaza level.
