随着位于上海徐汇的北杨人工智能小镇(以下简称北杨)不断有创新功能引入和活动上演,这座由徐汇区政府与漕河泾开发区总公司、临港集团合作开发,由gmp从城市设计到建筑设计全程参与的AI小镇,正以“科技可触、产业可兴、生活可享”为愿景,一步步从规划蓝图,走进现实画卷。
As the Beiyang AI Town in Xuhui, Shanghai (hereinafter referred to as Beiyang) continues to introduce diverse innovative functions and host a variety of events, this AI town—developed through the collaboration of the Xuhui District Government, Caohejing Hi-Tech Park Development Corporation, and Lingang Group, with gmp involved in everything from urban design to architectural design—is steadily transforming from a planning blueprint into a tangible reality. Driven by the vision of “making technology tangible, industries thriving, and life enjoyable,” it is stepping into the realm of reality.
gmp自2016年在城市设计国际方案征集中拔得头筹。在配合完成片区控详编制后,除住宅及东侧临水地块,陆续完成了北杨其余所有地块从建筑概念到扩初设计的工作。并配合上海建筑设计研究院有限公司、上海联创设计集团完成施工图设计。其中,在上海创智学院中,gmp进一步完成了室内方案设计。目前,南区已基本建成,北区预计将于2027年竣工亮相。
gmp first stood out by winning the international urban design competition in 2016. After assisting in the completion of the regulatory planning for the area, the firm went on to complete the work from concept design to design development for all remaining plots in Beiyang, except for the residential areas and the plot adjacent to the water to the east. gmp also collaborated with Institute of Shanghai Architectural Design & Research (Co., Ltd.) and Shanghai United Design Group Co.,Ltd. to complete the construction drawing design. Notably, for the Shanghai AI college, gmp further carried out the interior design scheme. At present, the southern section is largely completed, while the northern section is expected to be finished and unveiled in 2027.

回溯北杨极具时代性的点滴成长,紧扣国家人工智能的发展战略,响应上海建设“具有全球影响力的科创中心”的目标,以“智能小镇”为定位,聚焦清晰的功能布局、合理的产业结构、便捷的交通体系、完善的配套设施与生态的园区环境,致力打造具有全球影响力的人工智能产业集聚区、全域应用示范区,并争创体现上海卓越城市形象的国际化智能化产城融合区。
Reflecting on Beiyang’s remarkable growth that keeps pace with the times, the project aligns closely with the national strategy for AI development and responds to Shanghai’s goal of building a “science and innovation center with global influence.” Positioned as an “intelligent town,” it focuses on clear functional zoning, a rational industrial structure, convenient rail transit, comprehensive supporting facilities, and a distinctive campus environment. The aim is to create a globally influential AI industry cluster and a demonstration zone for comprehensive AI applications, while striving to establish itself as an international, intelligent urban-industry integration area that represents the outstanding urban image of Shanghai.

北杨优先引入高端人工智能领域研究院校和头部企业总部,以上海创智学院为龙头引擎,香港科技大学上海产教融合中心、华东师范大学空间学院和未来产业协同创新中心及北杨AI加速器等多元孵化平台等一批国际一流人工智能研究院校已悉数进驻,米哈游、奇瑞汽车、游卡网络等头部企业也竞相落户,形成强大的产业聚集效应。配套上,2.2万方的“漕河泾M+”也即将盛大开业。
Beiyang prioritizes the introduction of premier research institutions in the field of AI and headquarters of leading enterprises. With the Shanghai AI College serving as the flagship engine, a number of world-class AI research institutions have already established their presence, including the Shanghai Industry-Education Integration Center of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Space College and Future Industry Collaborative Innovation Center of East China Normal University, and diverse incubation platforms such as the Beiyang AI Accelerator. Leading companies such as miHoYo, Chery Automobile, and Yokaverse Network have also chosen to locate here, creating a strong industrial agglomeration effect. In terms of supporting facilities, the 22,000-square-meter "Caohejing M+" is set to open soon.

Urban Planning Structure of AI Town
立足“智慧徐汇、智能北杨”的全局目标,我们将多元活力、绿色开放、智能创新、可持续性四大理念注入规划核心,延续片区原有场域地貌,通过“原水活力轴”、“T轴塔楼群”、“U形生态带”、“慢行体验环”等多元品质框架,共同勾勒这座未来小镇的生动轮廓。
Grounded in the overarching goal of “Smart Xuhui, Intelligent Beiyang,” we remain committed to embed the four core principles of diverse vitality, green openness, intelligent innovation, and sustainability into the heart of the planning. By preserving the original topography of the area and incorporating a range of high-quality frameworks—such as the “AI Vitality Axis,” the “T-Shape Tower Clusters,” the “U-Shaped Ecological Belt,” and the “Slow-Speed Experience Loop”—we collectively shape the vibrant contours of this future town.
原水活力轴:场域内有一条斜向贯穿的地下原水管,本是建设限制。设计创造性的将其焕发新生,通过沿线特色建筑和主题广场的植入,从门户焦点地块延伸至保留工业遗存的滨水绿地,链接多个组团中心,成为串联全域的活力主轴。
AI Vitality Axis: Within the site, there is a diagonally traversing underground raw water pipeline, originally a construction constraint. The design creatively revitalizes this element by incorporating distinctive architectural features and themed plazas along its route. Extending from the focal gateway plot to the waterfront green space with preserved industrial heritage, it connects multiple cluster centers, transforming into a vibrant axis that links the entire area.

T轴塔楼群:在高密度开发背景下,建筑容量集中在西侧及中部的城市主路,既集中交通优势高效布局,又塑造出连续的城市界面,并逐步向南北滨水绿带过渡为低密度花园式产业组团。布局上内聚外疏,中间集聚高效,周边疏朗自然,既满足产业规模,也促进生态交融。
T-Shape Tower Clusters: Against the backdrop of high-density development, building capacity is concentrated along the main urban roads on the western side and in the central area. This approach not only leverages transportation advantages for efficient layout but also creates a continuous urban interface, gradually transitioning toward the north-south waterfront green belts into low-density, garden-style industrial clusters. The arrangement strikes a balance between openness and compactness—dense and efficient in the center, spacious and natural on the periphery—meeting industrial scale requirements while fostering ecological integration.

U形生态带:小镇三面由U形蓝绿资源环抱,生态基底优越。建筑从T轴逐步渗入周边绿化,形成由外向内延伸的 “生态公园” 。生态不仅结合地面公共空间,更通过下沉广场、裙房露台等立体设计,实现垂直绿意共享,为办公与生活空间注入清新自然的氛围。
U-Shaped Ecological Belt: The town is embraced on three sides by a U-shaped blue-green resource ring, providing an exceptional ecological foundation. The planning allows buildings to gradually integrate from the T-Axis into the surrounding greenery, forming an “ecological park” that extends from the outside in. Ecology is not only integrated with ground-level public spaces but also realized through three-dimensional designs such as sunken plazas and podium terraces, enabling the sharing of vertical greenery and infusing office and living spaces with a fresh, natural atmosphere.

慢行体验环:以15号线朱梅路站为起点,构建环形慢行系统,串联各功能组团,承载短驳公交与共享单车等绿色出行。西侧华发路依托两处集中商业裙房,通过商业及入口广场多层联系,自然引导地铁人流进入慢行网络,激活园区活力。沿线底层商业,结合地下连通设计,形成地上地下一体化的配套环线。
Slow-Speed Experience Loop: Starting from Zhumei Road Station on Line 15, a circular slow-speed system is established to connect various functional clusters, accommodating green mobility options such as short-distance shuttle buses and shared bicycles. On the western side, Huafa Road leverages two concentrated commercial podiums, using multi-level connections through commercial and entrance plazas to naturally channel metro passenger flow into the slow-speed network, energizing the park. Ground-floor commercial spaces along the route, combined with underground connectivity, form an integrated supporting loop that unifies above-ground and underground areas.

四大品质框架因地制宜,理性而又人性化地打造了北杨独特的规划结构与空间特色。
The four major planning structures are tailored to local conditions, rationally and humanistically crafting the unique urban interface and spatial quality of Beiyang.

与此同时,象征规划结构与科创身份统一的LOGO设计,也获广泛认可,出现于小镇各类场景中,让每一个细节都传递着北杨的核心规划理念。
Meanwhile, the logo design—symbolizing the unity of the planning framework and its identity as a hub for technology and innovation—has gained widespread recognition and now appears across various scenes throughout the town, allowing every detail to convey Beiyang's core planning philosophy.

原水活力轴的特色建筑
Signature Buildings Along the Vital Water Axis
原水活力轴不仅是北杨的景观主轴,更是一条“建筑艺术长廊”。沿线布局的多个特色建筑,风格不同,却又和谐统一,共同勾勒出小镇独特的建筑群像。
The AI Vitality Axis is not only the main landscape axis of Beiyang but also a "corridor of architectural art." The distinctive buildings distributed along it each feature a unique style, yet they come together harmoniously, collectively shaping the town's distinctive architectural character.
位于活力轴西南起点的地标塔楼,充分利用三角地形,以堆叠旋转的V形体量,打造出极具识别度的建筑轮廓。塔楼和副楼相映成趣,以三个不同高度的开口,分别面向主轴入口、外环绿带与徐浦大桥,既为建筑提供了多处观景平台,也为城市塑造了独特的视觉焦点。
Situated at the southwestern startpoint of the Vitality Axis, the landmark tower makes full use of the triangular site, featuring stacked V-shaped volumes that create a highly recognizable architectural silhouette. The main tower and its annex complement each other. With three openings at varying heights, the main tower faces the main axis entrance, the outer ring green belt, and Xupu Bridge respectively, providing multiple viewing platforms while establishing a distinctive visual focal point for the city.

活力轴与T轴交汇处的塔楼则面向原水管适度外挑,立面独特的三角形造型,随着光线变化,呈现出灵动多变的视觉效果。
The tower at the intersection of the Vitality Axis and the T-Axis features a moderate cantilever facing the raw water pipeline. Its distinctive triangular facade creates a dynamic and ever-changing visual effect as the light shifts.

与公共绿地交汇处的塔楼则在延续外挑的同时,转为水平方向的错动堆叠,形成富有节奏的造型。
The tower at the intersection with the public green space continues the cantilever design while shifting to horizontally staggered stacking, creating a rhythmically dynamic form.

由此,活力轴一路走来,每栋建筑不仅独具个性,在材质、色彩与体量上也呼应共生,和而不同。
Thus, along the Vitality Axis, each building not only possesses its own distinct character but also resonates in harmony with the others in terms of material, color, and massing—unified yet diverse.

随着集“ 高校+大厂+投资+孵化+应用+生活”于一体的完整生态链在北杨不断被创建和激活,这座标杆性科技小镇,会不断以城市版图新范式,护航上海的科创未来!
