近日,HPP 为戴姆勒公司设计的工程运营中心(EHO)大楼建造完成。项目位于辛德尔芬根,戴姆勒历史最为悠久的汽车制造工厂就在这里。作为世界领先的汽车制造商,戴姆勒公司以生产豪华轿车而闻名,如著名的梅赛德斯-奔驰。该大楼的建设如今已经完美收官,目前已投入使用。面对汽车行业富于变化的形势,新的工程运营中心对于戴姆勒而言具有重要的意义。
Recently, HPP has completed the Engineering Hub Operations (EHO) designed for Daimler AG. The project is located in Sindelfingen, Germany, where Daimler’s most historical Mercedes-Benz plant is situated. As a leading automaker, Daimler is famous worldwide for being one of the biggest producers of premium cars and the world’s biggest manufacturer of commercial vehicles. Currently, the building has been put into operation.
新 EHO 大楼为戴姆勒2,000名左右的员工提供办公座位,并设有大约4,500 平方米的灵活工作空间。办公楼最大化地利用天然阳光,保证楼体内部条件处于最佳状态。办公楼层的设计致力于提供开放灵活的办公环境,塑造便于交流、激发灵感的工作氛围。新大楼的整个计划过程充分使用了科技手段,它是使用了封闭式BIM*完成的。
The new Engineering Hub Operations building provides work stations for about 2,000 employees and around 4,500 m² of space for workshops that encourage innovative ways of working. The office floors are designed to create an open and flexible working environment, as well as a communicative and inspiring atmosphere. The whole process of the project was completed with the 3D model-based process of Closed BIM*.

Daimler is an absolute leader in the car manufacturing industry, ranked #16 in 2018 Fortune 500 list, while Elon Musk’s Tesla has just newly been included into it in 2017, ranked #383, and then moved up to #260 this year. As an industry leader, Daimler is well aware of the fundamental transformation brewing in the automotive industry, and sees itself as the driving force behind this change.

Daimler’s business strategies can be seen through its proactive moves during recent years. In 2014, Daimler has acquired two automotive battery manufacturers, Li-Tec Battery and Deutsche Accumotive, to ensure the supply of lithium-ion batteries. Moreover, it has planned to launch its new all-electric EQC, the first Mercedes-Benz vehicle under the EQ brand, around the mid of 2019, to get more competitive in electrically powered vehicles, a sector currently dominated by Tesla. To be more specific, in its Annual Report 2017 Daimler has shared its future-oriented CASE Strategy: Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Services, and Electric, which well rendered its ambition to steer the future of the automotive industry.

Technology is transforming the way that buildings and infrastructure are designed, constructed and operated, which HPP has experienced with the application of BIM in this EHO project. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that includes information of different disciplines within a project into wholly integrated modules. CLOSED BIM means that all participants of a project worked with the same BIM software. It facilitates multidisciplinary communication as well as seamless sharing of project data, thus improving collaboration and leading to faster, more accurate output.
