龙华文体中心项目位于龙华河与观澜河交汇处的一个三角形区域。设计试图在高楼环抱的场地中构建一个开敞的城市文化广场，一个开放的公共核心空间，一个承载多样化活动的载体。

Longhua Cultural and Sports Center is situated in the triangle area where the Longhua River and the Guanlan River meet. We seek to construct an open city cultural square, a common core space, and a medium for various activities.

我们的灵感来源于广东江门市的小鸟天堂和岭南传统建筑复杂变化的屋顶。我们将岭南传统建筑的屋顶抽象变化，形成了连续转折大屋架，错动线条形成了不同的空隙，让光线能够到达场所深处，创造丰富的阴影，就像小鸟天堂多样生长的树冠。钢立柱从坡屋顶层层垂落，像“气根”一样自然地界定出一个开放的空间。

Inspired by “the Bird Paradise” in Jiangmen, Guangdong and the multiple traditional Lingnan Architecture, the design abstracts the Lingnan style roofs, and creates a folding and turning roof truss. The interspaces, generated by the roof truss, allow lights to get in and develop abundant layers of light and shadow, just like the canopy of “the Bird Paradise”. The steel columns stretching out from the roof naturally define an open space.

大小不同的功能体块被放置于屋檐之下。体块之间游离漂浮，之间的数条立体廊道，如同纽带一般，将各层观景平台链接在一起，创造了可供室内功能灵活拓展的灰空间。一条狭长的冷巷横跨建筑南北两端，作为建筑的气口，空气自然流通，为游人提供荫蔽之所。

Functional units of different sizes are placed under the roof. Several corridors, set alongside the units, link the viewing platforms on different floors together. A long and narrow cold lane across the south and north end of the architecture promotes natural ventilation, while offering shadow for guests.

空间生成

封闭或半封闭的群团和运动馆依逻辑展开，和文化主题的广场空间相互连通。与传统的独立、分离、强调形式感的文体场馆不同，龙华文体中心的方案更多地倾向于一种弹性的公共空间，小体量的群团部分和大体量的体育中心相对分离，不同的体块状态能够在不同的场景需求下得到应用。当组织运动主题的活动时，体育馆内部看台可以局部拓展。全天候开放空间内有足够的高度放置活动的羽毛球、乒乓球场地。当组织大型展览，文化馆的部分展览功能可以拓展至公共廊道，形成开放流动的展览空间。

Closed or semi-closed alliances and gymnasiums are distributed in logical order. Compared to traditional cultural and sports centers which emphasize the sense of form and independence, Longhua Cultural and Sports Center is more likely an adaptable public space. The small-sized alliances are separated from large-sized Sports Center to fulfill various needs. When organizing sports activities, the stands can be partly expanded, so that there’s enough space for badminton and table tennis facilities. If needed, cultural center can be connected to the public corridor and create an open exhibition area.

可开启的玻璃窗和外层表皮通透玻璃构成的双层玻璃结构如面纱一般，让建筑本身若隐若现。看台楼梯板间的通透玻璃将室内赛事渗透至室外，极大地丰富了看台下的空间层次、增添了丰富的细节。

The openable glass windows and the double-layer glass surface conduct conversation between indoor activities and outdoor surroundings, while only offering obscured views, adding abundant details to the architecture.

设计希望能够为周边社区居民创造一个如同小鸟天堂一样开放的公园，在屋顶下每一个人都能找到合适自己的场所：孩子们在周边玩耍，老人们坐下来休息，母亲们站着闲聊，猫在太阳底下打盹。

The design calls for offering an open house similar to “the bird paradise” for everyone who enters the architecture: the children can play around, the elders are able to rest, mothers may chat freely, and even cats can nap under the roof.
