红点奖，源自德国，1955年由欧洲最富声望的著名设计协会(Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen)在德国城市埃森(Essen)设立的，至今已有超过60年的历史，素有设计界“奥斯卡”之称，是世界上知名设计竞赛中最大最有影响的竞赛；一直是全球设计精英梦寐以求的国际知名设计奖项，全球设计和发展趋势的风向标。
