gmp新作 | 外滩1号久事美术馆——百年建筑新生-建筑档案

近日，上海久事美术馆迎来全新空间，正式从中山东一路27号6层迁至中山东一路1号2、3层。该项目由久事美术馆委托，gmp执笔新馆空间设计。项目以“延续而非取代”为核心理念，在恪守文物保护原则的前提下，用理性、克制、精准的设计语言，让百年建筑的历史底蕴与当代艺术的审美追求相融共生，为公众呈现一个兼具历史温度与现代美感的艺术新空间。

Recently, the Shanghai Jiushi Art Museum has inaugurated its new space, relocating from the 6th floor at No. 27, East Zhongshan 1st Road to Floor 2 and 3 at No. 1, East Zhongshan 1st Road. Commissioned by the museum, the project was designed by von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects (gmp). Guided by the concept of “continuity over replacement” and grounded in conservation principles, the design adopts a rational and restrained approach, placing the building’s historic fabric in dialogue with contemporary exhibition use.

尊重历史，让百年建筑的细节自己说话

Respecting History – Letting the Historic Fabric Speak

“对历史的尊重”是此次空间焕新的核心底色。设计以“让历史痕迹成为新的设计语言”为准则，俯身聆听建筑的百年故事，不做多余修饰，只为唤醒那些被时光掩藏的美好，让老建筑的每一处细节，都成为独属于外滩的叙事篇章。

“Respect for history” forms the underlying tone of this transformation. Historical traces are treated as a design language in their own right, allowing the building’s century-long narrative to remain legible without addition or excess.

此次空间升级，设计团队将尘封已久的窗户全部重新开启，让浦江的清风与暖阳自由穿梭于展厅之间，将外滩天际线、黄浦江盛景这些独属于上海的城市风光，化作美术馆的天然布景。封闭的展览空间就此蜕变，成为与城市脉动同频、与浦江朝夕相伴的“光的容器”，邀请观众在欣赏艺术作品的同时，与城市美景不期而遇，让艺术欣赏与城市观景自然相融，享受置身外滩的沉浸式体验。

Previously sealed windows were reopened, allowing natural light and air from the Huangpu River to enter the galleries. The skyline of the Bund and the cityscape of Shanghai form a continuous. The formerly enclosed exhibition rooms are transformed into “a vessel for light”, attuned to the changing conditions of the river. Artworks and urban views are experienced in parallel, merging exhibition and city into a single perceptual field.

本次设计始终尊重建筑历经岁月沉淀的真实痕迹。在空间清理的过程中，窗洞周边精美的历史窗套意外重现。团队立刻调整方案，后退周边吊顶，对不同时期留存的窗套、各异的窗户划分方式原貌保留，不统一拆除、不仿制添加，让历史的层次感与岁月的脉络，在空间中清晰可辨。将时光遗忘的细节与建筑沉淀的印迹，在视野里完整还原。经过多轮精密的尺度推敲，使现代纯净感的展厅与经典装饰的历史老建筑达成完美的美学平衡。

During the process, historic window frames and layered openings were uncovered and preserved. Suspended ceilings were set back, and elements from different periods were retained in their original state without removal or replication. This ensures the layered history of the building remains perceptible. Through precise calibration of proportions, a balance is achieved between the clarity of contemporary exhibition spaces and the character of the historic structure.

地面是延续建筑记忆的重要载体，设计团队翻阅尘封的历史档案，为新馆铺设了外滩同期历史建筑的经典拼花实木地板。温润的木质触感，搭配细腻的自然光泽，让观众步入展厅的那一刻，便能触摸到百年建筑的温度，在历史的氛围中，沉浸式感受艺术的魅力。

The flooring, as a key element of the building’s architectural memory, is selected based on archival research. The new gallery is laid with classic parquet timber flooring characteristic of historic Bund buildings in the same period. Its materiality evokes a sense of historical continuity upon entry.

美术馆恪守建筑原有的回字形动线，让空间的游览节奏契合老建筑的肌理。另外，所有新增功能分区均严格遵循并呼应建筑原有的柱网与空间逻辑，让新植入的现代活力与建筑旧有的历史秩序之间，建立起清晰而和谐的对话关系，没有一丝违和感，让百年建筑在功能升级的同时，始终保持自身的空间肌理与历史内核。

The museum retains the original looped circulation, aligning the visitor sequence with the existing spatial structure. New functions are inserted according to the original column grid, establishing a clear relationship between intervention and order.

2层的美术馆入口处采用通透的玻璃门窗，让空间更显灵动通透。步入场馆，一扇镶嵌于黑色门框的老钢窗静立眼前，其形制与建筑立面的老钢窗遥相呼应，将外滩独有的建筑基因自然延伸至室内空间，为每一位观众打造一场富有仪式感的艺术入场序曲。

At the second-floor entrance, transparent glazing enhances spatial permeability, giving the entrance a light and open quality.Inside, an original steel window, framed in black, stands in dialogue with the façade, extending the architectural language inward and articulating the sequence of arrival.

融新于旧，让现代设计与历史结构共生共美

Integrating the New into the Old – Contemporary Design and Historic Structure in Dialogue

在尊重历史的基础上，设计团队以清晰的设计逻辑，将现代设计元素巧妙嵌入百年建筑的既有秩序，让新与旧和谐共生，让百年建筑既保留独有的历史底蕴，又兼具当代艺术空间的典雅与活力，让历史的厚重与现代的轻盈，在空间中碰撞出别样的美学火花。

Contemporary elements are carefully embedded within the existing spatial order. Rather than opposition, old and new enter into a precise architectural dialogue, allowing the building to retain its historical character while accommodating contemporary exhibition use.

场馆内的接待台精准嵌入建筑原有柱网之间，简洁的黑色体块，既巧妙凸显了建筑结构本身的韵律感，其干练的几何形态又与建筑立面的线条逻辑高度契合。让功能性的服务空间成为空间设计的有机组成部分，实现实用性与美观性的双重统一。

The reception desk is positioned within the existing column grid. Its black geometric form emphasizes the structural rhythm and resonates with the linear composition of the façade. Functional elements thus become part of the spatial composition.

秉持可持续的设计理念，设计最大限度地保留了建筑原有吊顶系统，减少不必要的改动与浪费，同时结合展陈照明专业需求，在原有吊顶中巧妙嵌入平板灯，搭配定制灯膜系统与天花轨道装置打造层次丰富的照明体系，以模拟自然光的柔和光线平衡历史建筑的空间质感与现代艺术的展陈需求，既为艺术作品呈现提供专业适宜的照明支持，清晰展现展品细节，又有效消解了原有金属吊顶的视觉厚重感，让光线成为连接历史与当代的纽带，为百年空间注入轻盈与灵动的当代气息。

The original ceiling system is preserved through a resource-conscious approach, minimizing intervention. Exhibition lighting is integrated into the existing ceiling structure through panel lights, together with the diffusers and track systems, forming a layered lighting strategy. Light reduces the visual weight of the ceiling and mediates between historic space and contemporary use.

活化空间，让百年建筑成为有温度的文化场域

Reactivating the Space – Turning the Historic Building into a Cultural Framework

让历史建筑“活起来”，让艺术走进生活，是此次空间焕新的目标。设计团队与久事美术馆共同，精准捕捉当代美术馆的运营需求与公众的观展体验需求，对空间功能进行科学重构，让百年建筑突破单一的展览空间定义，成为真正可感知、可参与、可体验的公共文化场域，让艺术融入日常，让空间充满温度。

The project reactivates the historic building as a cultural framework. Together with the museum, the spatial program is reorganized according to contemporary operational and curatorial needs, enabling a more open and accessible public cultural condition.

针对三层原入口局促、服务设施分散的痛点，设计团队在新馆流线最优的区域，重构了尺度合宜的入口区域，将票务、寄存、导览咨询等功能高效整合，让观众的参观流线更顺畅、观展体验更便捷。

At the third floor, the previously constrained entrance and dispersed service functions are consolidated into a clear spatial sequence, improving circulation and visitor orientation.

美术馆在焕新场馆的同时，增设了配套业态。全新打造的咖啡社交区被精心置于场馆景观视野绝佳的端头，依窗户节奏横向延伸的特色吧台，使其既成为展览体验的自然终点，也能成为观众观展之余的休憩放松空间，满足了品咖、交流、社交等多元需求，又以强烈的水平线条拉伸视野，让浦江两岸的绝美风光尽收眼底，让观景体验更开阔、更专注。吧台下方设置的竖向书柜，延续了窗户的竖向分割设计，进一步强化了空间的秩序感与设计感，每一处细节都暗藏巧思，邀观众静坐阅读、享受时光。

A café and social space is located at the end of the building, oriented towards the river view. A linear counter extends along the window façade, functioning both as the end of the exhibition route and a place of pause and exchange. Vertical shelving beneath reinforces the spatial order and extends the rhythm of the façade inward.

此次空间焕新，是久事美术馆对艺术与历史融合的全新探索，亦是对百年建筑进行深度解读与活化。通过“延续而非取代”这一核心理念，外滩1号的百年历史底蕴与当代艺术的审美需求完美融合。

This transformation represents a renewal of the relationship between art and architecture, and the adaptive reuse of a century-old structure. Through the principle of “continuity over replacement”, the historical character of Bund No. 1 is brought into dialogue with contemporary exhibition use.

美术馆在策展层面对建筑内在逻辑的充分尊重，也使得这一理念在展览中得到了完整呈现。开展以来，观众驻足于展厅之中，在艺术作品与外滩景致之间穿行；浦江的光线穿过百年窗棂，落在展墙与作品之上，形成不断变化的空间层次。

The curatorial strategy respects the building’s spatial logic, allowing it to be articulated within the exhibition. Since its opening, visitors have moved through the galleries between artworks and views of the Bund. Natural light from the Huangpu River passes through century-old window frames, casting shifting patterns across walls and artworks, and generating a constantly evolving spatial atmosphere.

新馆的升级换新，既大幅提升了艺术展陈的核心功能与公众的观展体验，更进一步强化了这栋建筑的地理与历史价值，让久事美术馆成为外滩肌理中，连接城市记忆、当代艺术与市民生活的重要文化锚点。

The upgrade of the museum significantly strengthens both exhibition capacity and visitor experience, while consolidating the building’s urban and historical presence. The Shanghai Jiushi Art Museum now funtions as a cultural anchor within the fabric of the Bund, linking urban memory, contemporary art and civic life.
