The headquarters of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) in Guangzhou was recognized twice, receiving winner awards in the categories “ARCHITECTURE – Circular Design” and “ARCHITECTURE – Corporate.“
CSCEC Innovation Tower in Guangzhou sets a benchmark for sustainable high-rise buildings. Early climate and site analyses informed a design emphasizing natural ventilation: an eight-story atrium between podium and tower follows the Lingnan “cold lane” principle, while solar chimneys and a night-cooling system ensure year-round natural airflow and indoor comfort. The façade and roof integrate 7,800 m² of photovoltaic panels generating about 650,000 kWh annually. With a 93.5 % prefabrication rate and eight types of construction robots, the project reduced labor by 20 % and optimized material use. It has received China’s Nearly Zero Energy, Gold Carbon Neutral, and 3-Star Green Building certifications, as well as LEED Gold and WELL Platinum precertification, exemplifying energy efficiency, carbon management, and a healthy workplace in one landmark.

We are honored that our project, Jing In International Center, received a winner award in the category “ARCHITECTURE – Corporate” at this year’s iconic awards.
Jing In International Center is a renovation project located near Beijing South Railway Station that transformed a former shopping mall into a modern office environment.
The project preserves the original 12-story, 52-meter-high reinforced concrete frame and the atrium skylight, while replacing the closed façade with a continuous, energy-efficient glass envelope that brings abundant natural light and allows user-controlled natural ventilation. By removing the former cinema and parts of the floor slabs, new planted terraces were created, enabling sunlight to penetrate the atrium down to the ground floor and forming open office landscapes with flexible access points. Two basement levels have been converted into shops and cafés, and the former parking decks now serve as communal spaces. Expansive rooftop terraces provide high-quality outdoor work environments. The project has been upgraded to LEED Gold standards.
