2024 CTBUH 中国年度会议将于6月20日在青岛举办。本届年会以《迈向可再生的城市：生态、经济与社会的可持续转型》为主题，结合全球研究与实践，共同探索城市战略转型和有机增长的发展路径。在减少对环境影响的目标下，通过集约发展增加城市有效空间，激活存量功能，促进要素资源优化配置，提升空间承载力，从更新改造中产生经济效益，完善发展布局，真正达成高密度城市的可持续发展，形成新一代的高层建筑和城市密度形态。MVRDV上海办公室总监张许慎先生受邀出席本届会议并发表演讲。

The CTBUH 2024 China Conference will happen on 20 June in Qingdao. Themed on Towards Regenerative Cities: Environmental, Economic, and Social Sustainable Transformation, the conference will combine global research and practice from various professional fields within the industry to jointly explore the development path of urban strategic transformation and organic growth. With the goal of reducing environmental impact, the conference aims to increase urban effective space through intensive development, activate existing functionalities, promote the optimal allocation of resources, enhance spatial carrying capacity, generate economic benefits from renewal and transformation, refine development layouts, and truly achieve sustainable development in high-density cities. This will lead to the formation of a new generation of high-rise buildings and densified cities.

张许慎，MVRDV上海办公室总监、英国RIBA皇家特许注册建筑师。拥有丰富的海内外城市与建筑设计经验，参与的项目分布于澳大利亚、中国、新加坡等地。目前负责MVRDV 在中国项目全过程的管理与协调。先后参与作品包括深圳万科立体城市、深圳南头古城if工厂、及广州万科Crystal等。此次他将以《场域焕新 · 永续城市》为题，分享MVRDV建筑规划事务所在城市更新和可持续改造的研究和实践。

Peter Chang, Director of MVRDV Shanghai office, RIBA Chartered Architect. He has rich experience in urban and architectural design, and has been involved in projects in Australia, China and Singapore. He is currently responsible for the management and coordination of MVRDV's projects in China. He has been involved in projects such as Vanke 3D city, Idea Factory, and Vanke Crystal. At this year's conference, Mr. Chang will share MVRDV's researches and projects on urban regeneration and sustainable transformation based on the topic - Regeneration for Sustainable Cities.

MVRDV was set up in 1993 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands by Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries. MVRDV engages globally in providing solutions to contemporary architectural and urban issues. A research-based and highly collaborative design method engages experts from all fields, clients and stakeholders in the creative process. The results are exemplary and outspoken buildings, urban plans, studies and objects, which enable our cities and landscapes to develop towards a better future.

Many projects by the office, such as the Market Hall in Rotterdam, Shenzhen Women and Children’s Centre, Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, Seoullo Sky Garden, Tainan Spring, Bulgari China Flagship in Shanghai, and early works including the headquarters for the Dutch Public Broadcaster VPRO, WoZoCo housing for the elderly in Amsterdam, Dutch Pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hannover lead to international acclaim. More than 300 architects, designers and other staff develop projects in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative design process which involves rigorous technical and creative investigation. MVRDV works with BIM and has official in-house BREEAM and LEED assessors. Together with Delft University of Technology, MVRDV runs The Why Factory, an independent think tank and research institute providing an agenda for architecture and urbanism by envisioning the city of the future.
