MVRDV 创始合伙人 Jacob van Rijs 受浙江大学建筑设计研究院之邀，将在6月20日于武汉发表演讲，适逢浙大院成立70周年。Jacob将从MVRDV实践的角度出发，分享正在进行中的武汉图书馆新馆项目，探讨项目的在地环境对设计概念的启发，以及图书馆建成后将对城市活力发挥的激励作用。此外，通过介绍近期即将开幕的深圳妇儿大厦改造等项目，Jacob将展示MVRDV在城市更新实践中的独特解法，为城市和历史赋能。

On June 20, MVRDV founding partner Jacob van Rijs will give a lecture in Wuhan, part of the 70-year anniversary of The Architectural Design & Research Institute of Zhejiang University. This lecture being part of the opening ceremony of the UAD Exhibition, Jacob will delve into how the Wuhan Library is a key example of MVRDV's practice in which acknowledging surroundings not only inspires but initiates the implementation of new dynamics. Moreover, using projects such as the Shenzhen Women and Children Center or Tainan Spring, Jacob will develop MVRDV's take on urban regeneration and how in doing so, industrial heritage can be celebrated.

Jacob van Rijs （1964年出生于荷兰阿姆斯特丹），建筑师、城市规划师，MVRDV建筑规划事务所创始合伙人、主创建筑师。1993年，他与Winy Maas和Nathalie de Vries 成立了MVRDV。Jacob van Rijs的作品反映了他将在地环境和人文主义应用于建筑的设计理念。这种理念在他主持设计的项目中得到体现，包括商业、住宅、社会福利住房、文化项目和市政建筑——例如位于印度浦那的“未来之塔”，宝格丽在上海、曼谷和吉隆坡的旗舰店，慕尼黑WERK12商办综合楼、重庆蔚来汽车展厅、鹿特丹Casa Kwantes私人住宅、马德里Mirador社会福利住房、罗斯基勒摇滚博物馆、哥本哈根KU.BE社区中心和松代町艺术村。Jacob van Rijs是德国柏林工业大学的教授，曾在同济大学、慕尼黑工业大学、代尔夫特理工大学、维斯马应用技术大学、马德里理工大学建筑学院、丹麦皇家艺术学院、日本东京工业大学和莱斯大学为本科生和研究生授课。自2016年以来，他一直担任国际建筑大奖Archiprix的主席，并于2014年被任命为荷兰贸易委员会的董事。

Jacob van Rijs (Amsterdam, 1964), Prof. Ir. FRIBA is Managing Director of the globally operating architecture and urban planning firm MVRDV, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which he co-founded in 1993 together with Winy Maas and Nathalie de Vries. Internationally acclaimed projects include the Expo 2000 Netherlands Pavilion, the Villa VPRO television studios in Hilversum, and the recent Market Hall in Rotterdam. In parallel to his work in practice, Jacob van Rijs regularly lectures, takes part in international juries and teaches at universities and institutes worldwide. He is currently Visiting Professor at the Technical University of Berlin. Before that he has been teaching at TU Munich, TU Delft, University of Wismar, ETSAM University Madrid, Royal Academy of Arts Copenhagen, Tokyo Institute of Technology and Rice University, Houston, amongst others. Since 2011, Jacob van Rijs has been Chairman of the International program of the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects (BNA) and in 2012 initiated BNA iTop, a network for creative industries. In 2014, he was appointed Board Member of the Dutch Trade Board and in 2016 he became chairman of the Archiprix.

MVRDV was set up in 1993 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands by Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries. MVRDV engages globally in providing solutions to contemporary architectural and urban issues. A research-based and highly collaborative design method engages experts from all fields, clients and stakeholders in the creative process. The results are exemplary and outspoken buildings, urban plans, studies and objects, which enable our cities and landscapes to develop towards a better future.

Early projects by the office, such as the headquarters for the Dutch Public Broadcaster VPRO and WoZoCo housing for the elderly in Amsterdam lead to international acclaim. 250 architects, designers and other staff develop projects in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative design process which involves rigorous technical and creative investigation. MVRDV works with BIM and has official in-house BREEAM and LEED assessors. Together with Delft University of Technology, MVRDV runs The Why Factory, an independent think tank and research institute providing an agenda for architecture and urbanism by envisioning the city of the future.
