2022的毕业季如期而至，各大美院及设计学院往年的毕业设计展由于疫情的影响，只能对校内师生或者校友开放。但借助现今发达的网络传播，毕业设计展逐渐得以线上的方式呈现给大家。

With the graduation season of 2022 coming on schedule, major art academies and design colleges no longer have to open their graduation design exhibitions only to teachers and students or alumni on campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to today's developed network communication, they get to present the exhibitions to everyone online.

由gmp·冯·格康，玛格及合伙人建筑师事务设计的上海大学上海美术学院（主校区）拥有完成度极高的建筑虚拟模型，为本次线上展览提供了基础的虚拟展示平台。由此，老师和学生也可以在建筑物建成之前，更深入了解他们未来的新校园。

Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (SAFA), Shanghai University (Main Campus)，which is
designed by the architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp), has a virtual building models with a high degree of completion, provided a basic virtual display platform for the online exhibition. They enabled all teachers and students to get to know their future campus before it becomes reality.

但居家创作，对于美术学院的学子来说，没有充足的空间和应有的条件，版画专业没有印制的设备，雕塑、壁画等专业难以做硬质材料作品，设计和建筑专业无法制作实体模型……都让这一届毕业生同学面对始料未及的困难。但最终成果令人欣喜，作品水平呈现出更具深度思考和更有表现力量的面貌。

That said, the graduates of SAFA this year, having to produce artwork from home due to the pandemic, were faced with unexpected challenges. They got neither enough space nor proper conditions for art creation. Students from Printmaking had no printing machine to use. Those from Sculpture and Mural had difficulties in producing hard material works. Those studying Design and Architecture had no conditions for making physical models. Despite these tough conditions, they all managed to deliver amazing works that are even more thought-provoking and expressive than before.

“2021年6月30日，上海美术学院主校区项目正式启动。根据“保留历史塑造未来”的设计思路，新的美院主校区将在宝武型钢厂的工业遗存上建设一座长约一公里、总面积达22万平方米的新型美术学院，它没有围墙，与城市无缝衔接，提升城市能级和城市品质。我们准备把今年的毕业作品展放到这个即将建设的空间去策划和展览，由此有了“云上一公里”的策展主题。整个毕业作品展将以一公里为主轴，贯穿于新的美院空间，打造一个永不落幕的线上美术馆。”

"The main campus project of SAFA officially kicked off on June 30, 2021. Guided by the idea of "preserving the past and shaping the future", a one-kilometer-long novel academy of fine arts totaling 220,000 square meters will be created on the industrial relics of Baowu Profile Steel Plant. Wall-less and seamlessly connected with the city, this new space is expected to add to the level and quality of the city. We are planning to have it accommodate this year's graduation exhibition, hence the curatorial theme of "One Kilometer on the Cloud". The graduation design exhibition will be arranged along this one-kilometer axis extending through the new campus to make for a never-ending online art museum."
