伍兹贝格秉持顾客为中心的设计原则，对这座位于德辅道中83号的标志性建筑裙楼进行了全面改造，在尊重原有建筑结构的同时，巧妙连接中环街市和IFC国际金融中心两大标志性建筑，打造出开放的社区交流空间，为其注入了现代银行所需的灵活性、科技感与人文温度，完美呈现恒生银行「未来银行2.0」的服务理念。项目荣膺 2025年 《世界室内设计新闻网》大奖 WIN Awards「连锁零售店、百货公司、大型和小型购物中心类别」 Finalist 奖项。

Completed in 1991, the Hang Seng Bank Headquarters at 83 Des Voeux Road Central is a landmark in Hong Kong's financial heart. Strategically positioned at Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught Road, it connects seamlessly to the city's elevated walkways, linking key destinations like the IFC complex and Central Market.

Woods Bagot's redesign of the podium levels (B3 to L3) preserves the building's architecture while modernizing interiors for contemporary banking. The column-free spaces maximize flexibility, and street-level accessibility serves both walk-in customers and those using Hong Kong's pedestrian network. More than a banking facility, it represents a vibrant, responsible, and community-focused vision for future banking. The project has been named a Finalist in the Retail chains, Department Stores, Shopping Centers Large and Small category of the prestigious 2025 World Interior News (WIN) Awards!

整个翻新包含了入口及裙房立面升级，以及B3-L3层从跨境金融服务中心、大堂及优越理财中心的室内空间设计。通过融合自然元素、创新科技、本地艺术与人文关怀，伍兹贝格打造出一个兼具舒适性、可持续性与社区连结的崭新银行空间，重新定义现代金融机构的服务体验。

Designed under the customer-centric principle, this main branch puts people first, blending agile banking experiences with sustainable design, creating a unique, engaging retail environment for Hang Seng Bank's customers and staff.

Supporting Hang Seng's "Future Banking 2.0" vision, the interior design incorporates integrated digital touchpoints and adaptable service zones. Modular banking counters and reconfigurable furniture accommodate evolving customer needs, while strategic wayfinding enhances customer journeys. This approach ensures the branch remains relevant in an era of rapid-fintech advancement, while maintaining its focus on human interaction and trust.

三大主题空间

捕捉香港独特脉搏

设计团队从香港独特的都市文化中汲取灵感，打造了三大主题区域：

The design philosophy was carried out through three thematic zones, inspired by Hong Kong’s vibrant culture.

都市脉动（地面至2楼）：

以香港国际金融中心的活力为设计灵感。运用动态照明和抽象天花造型再现都市夜景，搭配温馨的木色调和柔和灯光，营造出轻松舒适的服务环境。通过模块化工作台和灵活的空间区隔，实现开放、半私密和私密等多种服务模式的自由转换，满足客户多元化需求，展现现代银行的高效与人文关怀。

City Vibe (G-2F) – Channels the energy of Hong Kong's streets into dynamic banking halls with flexible service configurations (open, semi-private, and fully enclosed) to cater to diverse customer needs while reflecting Hang Seng’s role as a pillar of Hong Kong’s economy.

竹林意境（3楼）：

以香港文化象征 - 竹子为设计主题，巧妙融合自然与传统。该区域专为高端客户打造，通过竹林的诗意美感和私密性设计，营造出尊贵的理财空间。大量运用自然采光和环保材料，处处体现竹林的清雅韵味，打造出顶级私人银行的宁静氛围。

Bamboo Retreat (3F) – Translates the city's iconic bamboo scaffolding into a prestige retail banking lounge, this floor offers an exclusive, serene environment for high-net-worth clients. The design combines natural materials, soft lighting, and understated luxury, creating a space that balances privacy with attentive service.

维港汇流（B3至B1楼）：

以香港航海历史为灵感，象征金融创新的流动特质。作为跨境财富管理中心，该区域采用海浪般的渐变色和流线型设计，从前台到天花一气呵成，让人联想到维多利亚港的流动美景。这个多功能空间犹如一座品牌博物馆，既展示恒生的历史传承，又通过数字化产品墙和活动空间满足现代金融需求。

Harbour Flow (B3-B1F) – Celebrates Hong Kong’s seafaring history, this multifunctional space serves as a museum-like showcase for Hang Seng’s legacy featuring digital product displays and venue for client events.

可持续设计

可适性再利用

伍兹贝格将可持续设计深度融入本项目，助力恒生银行实践其2030年净零碳排放承诺。设计团队通过使用自然元素和天然材料，强化人与环境的连接。通过优化自然采光和采用高效空调系统，预计能耗比传统设计降低20%。此外，对原有建筑材料的再利用也减少了约160吨建筑垃圾。

Aligned with Hang Seng's 2030 net-zero commitment, the use of natural lighting and new air-conditioning systems in the interiors improves energy efficiency, reducing electricity consumption by approximately 20% compared to conventional designs. The upcycling of over 30 years old existing glass has reduced construction waste to 160,000 kg.

例如，设计团队对楼龄30年的原有建筑玻璃进行了创新性升级再造，将其转化为三楼优越理财中心入口处一道引人注目的玻璃屏风艺术装置。该设计以“竹”为意象，通过动态渐变的形式，将旧玻璃重新演绎，既体现了可持续的设计理念，也传递出恒生银行不断创新、延续未来的品牌精神。

Furthermore, the sustainable approanch is also demonstrated through the creative reuse of original materials. At the heart of this effort is the transformation of 30-year-old glass into a bold, bamboo-inspired art screen at the Prestige floor (3F) entrance - a feature that perfectly merges sustainable design with the bank's vision of ever-growing innovation.

而原有 建 筑的花岗岩则通过定制尺寸与色彩，成为新型再造石材，并以此为亮点打造出标志性的特色墙体。

While the existing granite was repurposed into a new type of reconstituted stone with custom sizes and tones, creating a signature feature wall that highlights the recycled material.

与香港城市大学合作、安装于人行天桥连接处的创新动能发电地板，更是可持续理念的创新实践。 此设计不仅着眼于环境效益，更兼顾客户舒适度，所有材料与家具的选择均旨在为项目达成LEED及WELL铂金级认证提供支持。

This sustainable approach extends to lighting and furniture selections that combine environmental responsibility with customer comfort, supporting the project's LEED and WELL Platinum certification goals. The innovative Energized Panel, collaborating with City University of Hong Kong, installed at the walkway connection converts kinetic energy from footsteps into usable electricity, further demonstrating Hang Seng's commitment to sustainability.

As Regional Workplace Interiors Design Leader, Isaac Chow, stated: “This project was about honoring a legacy while building for the future. We created a space where finance meets culture, and sustainability is woven into every detail - from the upcycled materials to the kinetic energy floors. It’s a testament to how banking can be both profoundly human and technologically advanced.”

It is a space where finance meets culture, sustainability meets innovation, and customers feel valued beyond transactions.
