2024年2月2日，在韩国釜山市政厅，釜山市市长朴亨埈正式任命 MVRDV 创始合伙人 Winy Maas 为釜山市「名誉城市建筑师」，负责为釜山市建筑设计的发展和创新方向提供建议。

We are happy to share that Mayor Park Heong-joon, appointed MVRDV founding partner Winy Maas as the Honorary Advisor City Architect for the city of Busan. The news was announced during a ceremony held on February 2nd at the Busan City Hall. In his new role, Winy will be responsible for advising on the direction of the development and innovation in Busan's architectural design.

“Busan is a city I have watched with interest ever since I first visited it in 2003. It is similar in many ways to Rotterdam, the port city where I live. I am aware that Busan has recently been concerned about urban space innovation. It would be meaningful if we could contribute even a little to creating a better urban space. Based on an understanding of Busan's regional characteristics, we will work hard to create a globally competitive urban space”，shared Winy during the ceremony.
